Chanting Om Vol. II - Splendor of Yoga

MyHinduPage.org Review. Check out the sample review on Amazon.com. This is one of the best and most creative recording of group Aum chanting I have heard. For those who are keyed to meditation through the heart chakra (anahatha chakra) this ambient music works very effectively.

Editorial Review on Amazon.com
The syllable of Om or AUM is said to be the primordial vibration of the universe. In the tradition of yoga, Om has been used as a powerful mantra for thousands of years. It's sound has the power to carry the listener's awareness into a deep state of meditative absorption.
Every CD from Music for Deep Meditation is designed with the utmost purity and integrity of sound, creating vehicles that are truly inducive for meditation and deep rest. We invite you to explore each one.

Track 1 Aum Chant - Meditation on The Eternal with Ocean Waves 34:43

Track 2 Chanting Om - Splendor of Yoga 29:35

I love the original CD from the series, but this one is even better.
For starters, instead of a continuous wall of sound, you get beautiful waves of the sound of om chanted by a group of singers.

In track 1 you get Om chanted the traditional way as AUM and in the second track it is chanted as Om. (The Aum when you chant it continuously becomes Om, they are one and the same)

I feel this version is more gentle and beautiful. Also I love the instruments and the sound of the ocean waves in the background.

This is now my favorite recording to meditate with.
